2008 Vans Downtown Showdown Obstacles Announced

Los Angeles, CA (October 10, 2008):

The 2008 Vans Downtown Showdown is almost here and Vans has announced the obstacles and teams who will compete. The event, which takes place this Saturday October 11th at 5 PM, features skate teams from Element, Toy Machine, Foundation, Girl, Creature, Zero, Habitat, Black Label and Blind. The obstacles for the event include a 3 Pump Dump by Girl, a Dive Bar by Black Label, and more. Skaters expected to compete include Corey Duffel, Johnny Layton, Angel Ramirez, Alex Olson, Keegan Sauder, Billy Marks, Josh Harmony, David Reyes, Stefan Janoski, Raymond Molinar, Al Partanen, Jake Duncombe, Neil Heddings, David Gravette, Mike Mo Capaldi, Guy Mariano, Marc Johnson, Grant Patterson, Mike Vallely, Omar Hassan, Chris Senn, Tony Tave, Chris Cole, John Rattray, Adam Alfaro, Shuriken Shannon, Chris Troy, and Ronnie Creager. Each team will session each of the four obstacles in a round robin format. Best performance, top team, best pro, and top am will be selected by judges including John Cardiel and Ray Barbee.
