I love to snowboard! I'm a total beginner even after 5 years of boarding, but I love it and I get a total thrill everytime I go. I'm from Oregon so Mt. Bachelor is a great place to go there, or my personal favorite is North Star at Tahoe.
My favorite place to ride is either Alpine or anywhere in Tahoe! snowboardchick

This mountain is conventiently located only about an hour or so from Portland, so definitely worth a stop to hit up the slopes. Mt. Hood Meadows
I spent my very first day of snowboarding here. The lessons were awesome, and its a great place for a beginner! And it's even better for someone who is at intermediate level like myself. The price is going up for the lift ticket, but it's worth it. Northstar
This mountain is huge! Really great spot for boarders of all levels. It's a little pricey, but worth the money! Squaw Valley
