Mt. High is LA's closest winter resort, divided into three resorts that offers a wide range of terrain from freestyle riding on the West mountain to alpine and free riding on the East to beginner and learning areas on the North mountain. Even with less than stellar snowfall and snow quality, this is Southern Cali's most visited resort so the crowd factor can't be ignored, especially with frequently discounted lift tickets throughout the season.

closest place to all of socal...lots of terrain features that can be a lot of fun with decent coverage, and the only place you can truly get in a good half day and be back at the beach for an evening sesh IslndKing
