Squaw has been the gold standard in North Tahoe (and really all of Tahoe) for the last 30 years. With incredible pipes and parks, in addition to a huge variety of terrain, Squaw is tough to beat. The one problem is that the top part of the mountain is closed during big storms. The upside is that there is untracked pow up to 3 days after big dumps.deezel A lot of terrain and a healthy amount of advanced runs. My complaint about this place is that it frequently gets hit hard by wind...and when it's nice out, lift lines are long (but, maybe that's true everywhere). Crowd can be on the pretentious side. If you have a few dollars to burn, the Squaw Creek Lodge is pretty tight. Kirsch

Jul-18 10:00 AM | No snow up here, but the bungee jumping is pretty cool... bayside | | Feb-10 2:00 PM | went snowboarding the last two days at Squaw. The weather was killer and the snow was pretty good. There is a lot of snow up there. Got some great runs in both days. It's a good time go now.... snowboardchick | | Feb-10 10:00 AM | Snow is starting to melt with the warm conditions, but still super fun. ... deezel | |
