Ajax is one of my local mountains - I would disagree with the description about it being full of "groms." In fact, the mountain is steep and has no green runs, so the kids & beginners tend to stick to Buttermilk.
It's a fun mountain on a powder day, but it's pretty small and all about the stereotypical Aspen scene: uber-rich people who party hard. Expect to see celebrity types in one-piece ski outfits with fur collars.
