General Overview

Prainha consists of 3 main breaks. The left side offers a powerful left with a barrel and a long wall for maneuvers. It breaks from 2 to 8 feet on an east or southeast swell. There is also on occasion a short right close to the rocks. The right side consists of a long and maneuverable right. It breaks with a southeast, south, or southwest swell. The middle section offers fun surf that holds up with size and handles almost any swell direction. Typical of its diversity, there is both a left and right.

Prainha is a great spot to surf and also hang out. Fellas, you may not make it to the water when you see the fine Brasileiras running down the beach. The beach is surrounded by a virgin forest and is a tropical paradise. There is good parking, bathrooms, stores, and snack bars.
