There are many surf spots near Les Sables d'Olonne but Tenchet can give up some very nice waves either on it’s shifting sand banks or just of the jetty to the north. It’s a small city so expect mellow crowds. The summer is madness but in the autumn and the cooler months, empty peaks can be poached. It can handle some size and if you catch it with a good swell running consider yourself très fortuné.
