General Overview
Being a well-known surf spot that boast of quality waves and attracts year round crowds from the surrounding environs, La Sauzaies line-up can and does get packed with an unusually (for France) competitive group of hot young surfers and not so mellow longboarders alike. Because of its high quality waves and dense populace the surfing lifestyle has become thoroughly entrenched in La Sauzaie with the city hosting the annual ASP Vendee Surf Pro springtime event. The wave, which can hold size, breaks on a rocky reef and is short, fast, hollow and very powerful even on smaller days. If you got your surf-mojo going-on and can still keep a laissez-faire attitude paddle out and have at it, you’ll be fine. Secret Spot Policy
