General Overview
Located just a few miles west of Te Kao, Bluff Beach is located at the northern end of Nintety Mile Beach. The Bluff offers some good surf due to the sand bars that form off Wakatehaua Island and the rocks. Typically, this spot is uncrowded and is ideal if you like to have some space. Beware of the heavy currents and rips if you surf this spot.
