San Juan Del Sur is a developing town located on a gorgeous bay. Before tourism took over, the main industry here used to be fishing and the set up is ideal for mooring boats and thus not so great for surfing. Occasionally swell sneaks into the bay producing rideable waves if you like to go strait towards the beach.
The town is a lot of fun however, with plenty of nightlife and cheap accommodations. This is your jumping off spot for the better close by breaks.
