General Overview
Popoyo is the premier break in Southern Nicaragua. An A-frame peak breaks over a reef just south of a river mouth. The lefts are longer and generally have better shaper while the rights are usually faster and a bit more punchy.
This spot is no longer a secret and can get crowded, but with the almost constant offshore winds you are not limited only to sunrise and sunset sessions meaning that there are more surfable hours in the middle of the day and therefore more waves to go around. Secret Spot Policy
