If you can imagine a longer wave in Central America than Pavones, this is it. Puerto Armuelles is hard to get to and doesn't break very often and as a result it gets overlooked. It will only break on a Southwest swell and you have to get there via boat. The locals are great, nice and friendly. The community has a bit of ghost town feel because of an old banana exporting business that is no longer.
