General Overview

Notorious for cold water and long boarders, the wave at Leo Carillo is a right point break with a decisively small take off zone close to some large rocks. The key to getting waves here is to be the deepest one in the pack and for this reason long boarders own the place. A forgiving wave with a fun inside section, Leo Carillo can be worth the wait or the yelling match after you drop in on someone. The mellow campground here can be an excellent home base to hit all the reefs and points in the area.
