Venice is my home break, so can't hate too hard on it. But the reality is that it's either crumbly and blown out (in the afternoons) or completely closed out. Though in recent weeks, I've had some of my best surf there. Water gets a little dicey too.

I lived and surfed venice for a year, good spot for learning, but the wave is nothing to write home about. Gets good on a west swell, but those are rare, can also get good when 2 swells cross up.

Fun place to hang out in the summer, but just not the best surf spot. There are a ton of beginners and the locals are pretty chill for the most part. Definitely not the spot to be when there is any size.
