General Overview

Beach break intermixed with two jetties creating beginner surf that breaks close to shore most of the year. On the right tide, with the right swell and the right winds fun waves peal off the jetties, but unless you are knowledgeable of these “right” conditions chances are you won’t score in Playa. Not a very good surf spot unless you live in the area or just want to chill out with your girl or friends on Dockweiler (one of the few beaches to allow bon fires in LA). Enjoy the jets screaming over head every 2 minutes and the nearby sewage treatment plant.
