General Overview

Located just south of the Chevron smoke stacks, El Porto has an underwater canyon that focuses swell into this North Manhattan Beach break resulting in wave heights that are usually a few feet larger and a bit less walled than the surrounding areas. With a large beach front parking lot and year round waves, this spot can get crowded on weekends. Locals like to claim that this is the best and most consistent wave in LA and with the majority of the breaks up north shutting down during the winter months they may be on to something.

Fairly consistent, good pretty much year round but best during the winter months. Plenty of parking but can get crowded when conditions are good. Usually glassy in the mornings with on-shore in the afternoons.

Nice little windswell which has unfortunately made bumpy conditions out there. Waist high sets rolling through with so-so shape....

A bit more swell than other parts of LA, but still weak waves in the waist high range on the sets....
