General Overview

The waves get smaller and more closed out and thus less crowded the further south you go from El Porto. Hermosa can get good, really good and was a surfing epicenter back in the day, but more often than not it is closing out close to shore. No worries though there is plenty of other things to do, so if the surf is not what you are hoping for you are sure to find something else to occupy your time.

HAZARDS Hermosa Pier
Not the best break in LA County, but if you live near by and it's all you have then go for it! That said I've had some great days there.
Pankatilius
Fast and hollow, but can be real shallow so watch the tide charts. Gets crowded near the pier.

Chest high sets but mostly closing out. Be patient and you could score....
