San Diego county has some great surf, and Del Mar is one of the many nice spots. Decent beach scene, though a bit on the sleepy tip. Feels like a throwback quaint beach town, but doesn't feel "quaint" when you check the real estate listings.deezel Pretty amazing surf break and shouldn't be missed. Super crowded most of the time, and if you are just learning may be better to go just North or South. The added bonus is that the horse races are going on right nearby during the summer months which are pretty killer too.snowboardtraveler
