Quite possibly the best beach break in California, Blacks requires a long, but scenic hike down some steep cliffs. There is almost always something to ride at the end of the hike unless it is blown out and because of the underwater canyon, it is usually a few feet bigger here than everywhere else. The wave can be tricky to read and clean up sets happen regularly when it is big. Black's is a powerful wave that breaks year round.
