General Overview

It seems like every rock and curve in the La Jolla coastline turns into a gem of a wave on the right swell. With so many spots to choose from and local knowledge a sometimes must, surfing in this area can be a bit daunting. Some of the more popular and waves are Windansea, a bowly A frame with a localized flare and old school vibe, Big Rock a spitting and extremely photogenic left barrel, and Bird Rock, a rocky right breaking wave.

Great spot that is usually bigger than other breaks in the area. The trick is to get it when it's not crowded.
