General Overview
Back in the 1960’s Gilgo Beach was a hot bed of early east coast surfing activity. With all that history and some good central Long Island surf this well know spot can get very crowded. If you’re willing to pay $25 for a day parking pass and are lucky enough to catch the right swell , this resort town’s beaches can offer-up some hollow peaks peeling off the many shifting sand bars. Show respect and enjoy. Secret Spot Policy
