General Overview
One of Oregon’s most famous and bitchen' parks is the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area. We’re talking miles and miles of unexplored sand dune beaches with the occasional A frame or sand bar set-up.
Where the Siuslaw (siy-yoo-sia) River empties into the Pacific is the massive Florence jetty. When the swell is big enough there’s a very nice hollow left-hander that breaks INSIDE the deep water channel. Near by there’s a west-facing beach that offers up some occasional right breaking peaks.
If there’s no rideable surf, which is likely, you can try your hand at the old stand–by dune surfing.
