La Casa del Sol Surf Camp in Montanita has been in operation since 1994. It is located in front of the of the best waves in South America. The Surf Point in Montanita gets both north and south swells and breaks all year. It is the most consistant surf spot on the coast of Ecuador and has become a South American party spot filled with girls and guys from all over South America. The Surf Camp is located on the point in a quiet relaxed area and has a beach bar overlooking the surf spot. The town is the main party spot which has bars and restaurants and places to dance. It is a five minute walk along the beach and far enough removed from the camp that you only hear the waves when you are sleeping at night. Since you are on the point you can get early morning surfing sessions and at other moments during the days with light or no crowds but it is not a camp with no people.

The camp has well built rooms with hot water, private bathrooms, laundry service, a bar and restaurant and offers airport transfers, surfing tours, and other general services for the guests.
