The Ventura Makos Surf Camp has assembled some of the best ocean lifeguards and Pro surfers from Ventura for their camp. Their mission is to teach surfing, surf etiquette, ocean safety and respect for the ocean, oneself and others. They stress ocean safety education to all students as well as the importance of rip currents, wave judgment and selection, tides and lateral current. Knowledge that is of vital importance to the successful surfer/waterman. Their goal is to provide the most professional and safe surf experience to all of their students. Director Jeff Belzer is an Ocean Lifeguard and one of Ventura's top longboarders. Jeff's passion for surfing and the ocean are paramount in his desire to share his vast knowledge with all of his students.
